The Bathroom Deep Cleaning Checklist

Bathrooms accumulate grime faster than almost any other room — soap scum, mineral buildup, and moisture all work against you. Here's what a proper deep clean covers, beyond the weekly wipe-down.
Shower and tub
•Grout lines scrubbed, not just the tile surface
•Shower doors or curtain and track, where soap scum collects
•Showerhead, checked for mineral buildup in the nozzles
Toilet
•Bowl, seat, and lid, inside and out
•Base and the floor immediately around it
•Tank exterior and flush handle
Sink and vanity
•Faucet and drain, where mineral deposits build up
•Cabinet fronts and interior shelving
•Mirror, cleaned streak-free
Often-missed spots
The exhaust fan vent, light fixtures, and the baseboards along the floor are easy to skip during a quick clean but collect just as much dust and grime as the rest of the room over time.
